Weddings,
Engagements, and Births
- Brother Ed Dordea '97 Got engaged to Kory-Anne Russell,
a grammar school teacher originally from Montana. Wedding is scheduled for mid-September
2005 in Las Vegas. Despite my intense lobbying for a drive-through and/or Elvis officiated wedding ceremony, it will alas take place at a country club.

Smith '92 announces: "New baby July 8th,
2002 - Sophie Anja Smith. 7lb 7oz. Mother, Iva and
sister, Madelaine are all doing fine. Father is
feeling slightly overwhelmed now."

Beta sweetheart Kirsten '96 on June 23rd, 2001.
The couple then "had a blast" on their
honeymoon in Hawaii.

Beta sweetheart Pam Frank '96, in August 1999. They
recently bought a house in Ottawa. Pam has given
birth to a healthy girl.

status of DU returning to McGill Updated |

On March 7th, 2002,
members of the DU McGill Alumni Association, a
representative from DU International and about 20
McGill undergrads met to discuss re-establishing our
chapter at McGill. The meeting was highly successful
and DU has officially formed an interest group which
will lead toward re-colonization and ultimately
re-chartering.

leaders-to-be of the new DU have proven unsuccessful. |
National
Fraternity Conference held in Montreal
The
4th Annual Canadian Inter-Fraternal Conference (CIFC)
2001 was held in Montreal from November 1 - 3, 2002.
It was be hosted jointly by the Greeks of McGill
University, Concordia University, and Bishop's

Brother Michael
Richards '60 has received McGill University's
highest honour - The Award of Merit. Since graduating,
Michael has practiced law in Montreal with the firm of
Stikeman, Elliott, where he is now a senior partner.
"The
Award of Merit is presented to a graduate who
has enhanced the reputation and prestige of
McGill University through a lifetime
contribution of exceptional leadership and
service to the University, the Alumni
Association and the community. It is the MAA's
highest award"

There are a lot

incredibly low prices. New items are posted and sell
DAILY. Some recent items that were sold off at a
fraction of the cost include a gold DU ring and a DU
throw (blanket).

The
Delta Upsilon McGill 103rd Anniversary Banquet and
Annual Meeting which took place on Saturday October
13th, 2001 included a stop at Alto's!
The
Delta Upsilon McGill Inc. 102nd Anniversary Banquet
and Annual Meeting took place at Royal Montreal
Curling Club, on Saturday October 14, 2000. The 'boyz'
got together for some reminiscing and clubbing on
Friday night and a fun time was had by all on Saturday

Gordon Hoogenraad '01 attended the annual Delta
Upsilon President's
Academy in January 2000. His picture
then appeared in an issue of the Quarterly!
Golf Day
The
semi-annual general assembly meeting and brunch held
at Le Versant Golf Club in Terrebonne, Quebec on May
7th, 2000 was a success. By the way, if anyone wants
to go FISHING for Northern Pike or some other
shark-type fresh water fish...let us know! That would
make a great fraternal excursion.
